Our mission

The internet is full of "top 100 ChatGPT prompts" lists with no explanation, no context, and no quality control. TheBestPrompt is the alternative — a beginner-friendly AI education hub that teaches the thinking behind a good prompt, not just the prompt itself. We exist for everyday people: freelancers, students, founders, marketers, parents, retirees who just want better answers from AI.

What we promise readers

• Free, always. Every prompt, guide, comparison, glossary entry, and tool on this site is genuinely free. No paywalls. No "sign up to read more." Most pages don't even require email.
• Plain English. No jargon. If we use a technical term, we link to a glossary entry that defines it.
• Tool-agnostic. We cover ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini equally. Our recommendations follow the use case, not the brand.
• Updated. AI moves fast. We refresh comparisons, prompts, and guides as models change — every page shows when it was last updated.
• Honest about uncertainty. When we don't know something or the answer is "it depends," we say so.

Editorial standards

Every prompt is tested across at least two of the three major AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) before publication. Comparisons are based on hands-on use — not press-release summaries. Guides are reviewed for accuracy before publication and updated when we find errors. If you spot something wrong, email us — we fix things publicly.

How we make money

We're transparent about this. TheBestPrompt is supported in three ways:

1. Display advertising via Google AdSense (visible in margins, never inside content).
2. Soft promotion of our sister site TopAIPrompts, which sells organized prompt packs for users who want a bigger, downloadable library. There is no paywalled content on TheBestPrompt that lives behind that paywall.
3. Email newsletter (one prompt every Tuesday) where we may occasionally recommend tools we use ourselves.

That's it. We don't take payment for product reviews. We don't run sponsored posts disguised as editorial. If a comparison says one tool is better than another, that's our honest read.

Who's behind this

TheBestPrompt is published by Vantlir, a small team that builds beginner-friendly internet tools. We've used AI tools daily for years — both for our own work and for the AI products we build. The site's voice is collective, edited by a team of practitioners who use these tools in their actual jobs. We're not academics. We're not influencers. We're operators who got tired of bad AI advice on the internet.
